I was wondering if there is anything you can do to have lights in your house when going back to Nepal. I have heard about inverter, but are there any better source than that.

There will be 14 hrs of load-shedding from Today.

Kehi upaaya cha saathi ho? Sujhab chahiyo.

Jai Nepal.

Don't worry about it, you will get used to the load shedding.

In case of emergency, you can always buy this :-)

If you are ready to spend 2000$ a very good solar system can be installed at home. The solar panel will charge the battery. And the battery is used as source of electricity in the evening.  A 2000$ solar system will be able to light 10 CFL each 23 watts capacity. You can also use it of laptop and TV.

If you want just few light bulbs and don't want to use it for laptop and TV a 500$ solar system will be good enough. There are many retailers for these systems in KTM

I believe these solar systems are available in many cities in Nepal, and if you want to install in village you buy the system and install yourself. It is very easy to install, just takes one hrs of training.

I really appreciate your suggestion. I think I will go with solar panel. It looks affordable and much better than inverter.

Thank you again.
