One of my frens' wife just got to the US. They are in H visa.

His wife is now pregnant, but she is here for less than 6 months. As a result private insurnace companies are denying her to insure.

Her request for public (community insurance) was denied due to my frens' income level (more than eligibility limit).

Employer's reluctant to insure his wife due to high cost and current economic situation.

Hospital are not accepting her as she does not have insurance.

Any ways to get out of this situation!!! Any of you going thru this situation.

 

 

 

You should get insurance from the employer. The employer may be reluctant but they don't pay anything. You have to tell them that you will pay all the insurance premium.

Do this sooner than later.

 Which state are you in? Try your County health Department. They might fit the case in a sliding health program.
