I am doing my MS here in US and My parents have greencard. I want to apply greencard through my parents,I heard it may takes 7-8 years, so I didnot apply till now because soembody suggest me to apply from job, so i was thinking to apply from my job.Now I feel like sometime I feel like I should apply sothat I can reduce my waiting time. If anybody can suggest me, is it worth to apply right now?

i dont think that you can get green card thru your parents when you are 21 or more years older.

You can get some info from real immigration lawyer; do not hesitate to get the appropriate answer. If you added a thread, better give all info so we can advise to the point and you will be benifited in time.

I can guess you are over 21 that is the reason for 7-8 years for getting Green Card through your parents. Your parents need to get citizenship first to add you. I am just guessing, it does not harm to add your name through your parents and work side by side to get through the work.

Still, do not hesitate to ask an immigration lawyer.
