KATHMANDU, JUN 10 - Mahendra Lawoti, an associate professor at the Department of Political Science, Western Michigan University (WMU), United States, has received an early promotion of full professor.

Lawoti, who is also a Post columnist, had been teaching at the department as an associate professor for the last three years. Lawoti has authoured a number of books and has received several awards for his research works. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the East-West Center, Hawaii, in 1997. He is the co-editor of the forthcoming book, “Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict” being published by Routledge, London.
