Thats the crooked way of doing things, but its effective and if you are doing it the crooked way, you are bound to trouble, always anytime. Still you want to follow suit is your decision but a lot of folks do it that way and has gotten away with it. So the ball is in your court. If I say it works and than you get into trouble, thats not cool. So thats the tradition thesedays and it was worked for a lot of people.

I agree with nell -- it's your decision, and whatever decision you take, your name suggests you do a good job.

As far as getting in trouble during green card process, the chances are very slim.

without modifying your CV and without adding some spices on it, it is very hard to find jobs these days. Dhoti bhais are aggressive, and they are the ones who are doing well in US -- if your think about it. Precaution is always suggested though.
