I was startled to find that now onwards the US has an interview process for 'illegal' visa stamping. I overheard an illegal status approved guy saying it's a rigorous procedure. You'll have to show your expired IDs, proof of no bank accounts etc. Reportedly, priority has been given to folks who braved entering through porous Mexican border since they endure harsh conditions. /s
