My cricket club here in Belgium would like to raise some money for Nepal earthquake victims.
How do we go about doing it? Do we raise the money and then deposit it in the club's bank account, then write a club check of the total amount to a charity back in Nepal? And which charity or association should we transfer the money to?
Please help as this needs to be done as soon as possible?

Log into your facebook account and see yourself many local organizations are providing genuine help. They're asking for donations. Money-transfer agencies are waiving their fees for any transfer of funds.

There are several facebook pages opened for earthquake victims from these regions. I don't see a single link asking for donations. But there were people who were going to these regions to help. They were affiliated with charities such as organizations in Europe (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1557426564520444/) and some local rotary club chapters. It would be wise to donate to the bank account of reputed organizations and request for using these fund in these areas. They've posted their mobile numbers at several places. It is also dumb idea that they're not making these facebook pages completely public (you need to log into your account to see these pages).
